Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim is a widely-respected and vastly experienced public service official in the Maldives. In almost fifty years of service, he held numerous key posts, including Minister of State for Environment and Energy, Minister of State for Housing and Infrastructure, Minister of State for Transport and Communication and President of the Elections Commission. He also served in corporate governance, as the Managing Director of the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) and Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Limited (MTCC), two of the largest state-owned enterprises in the country.

Mohamed Ibrahim draws on his rich experiences and diverse contacts to add value to MOPA, including advising on professionalism and integrity in managing the Alliance. His ability to bring together stakeholders from different issue and interest areas is a key attribute that will boost MOPA’s work.

A passionate advocate on sustainable development, he has a track record of maintaining high environmental safety standards in organisations that he had managed and overseen throughout his illustrious career. His other great passion in life is scouting, and is a pioneer in the growth of the youth movement in the country.
