Mr Raad Thoriq Ibrahim
Member of the Executive Committee
Raad Thoriq Ibrahim joins the MOPA Executive Committee, bringing a fresh perspective and specialisation in sustainability and ESG consulting, waste and recycling management, and policy development. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and Geography from Victoria University of Wellington.
During his academic journey, Raad gained expertise in addressing environmental challenges in New Zealand and Small Island Development States. He secured a summer research scholarship at GNS Science and actively participated in conservation and tree-planting events. His passion for the environment found expression through creative artistry in university magazines and zines in New Zealand. After graduating, he recently completed a sustainability internship at Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru, where he honed his practical skills and knowledge.
As the youngest member of the committee, Raad’s blend of youthful energy and proven industrial experience make him a valuable asset. He is committed to fostering a sustainable lifestyle and mindset among Maldivian youth, with a vision of nurturing environmentally conscious citizens for the benefit of future generations.
