Ms Shaheeda Adam

Ms. Shaheeda Adam has over 30 years of experience working in the Government of Maldives mainly in the water and sanitation sector. She is a senior professional with extensive leadership experience in policy development, planning, coordination, monitoring, implementation and management of projects and programs. Additionally, she has wide ranging experience working as a project director and as national focal point for many foreign donor projects implemented in the sector.

Shaheeda holds a Bachelor’s degree (1984) in Environmental Health (B.Sc.) from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon and a Master’s degree (1992) in Pollution and Environmental Control (M.Sc.) from University of Manchester, UK.

Shaheeda establishes robust, cooperative professional relationships and is a reputed manager, known for earning the respect of work colleagues, Government policy executives and Donor Agencies. She has continuously played a lead role in forming and maintaining strategic partnerships with key stakeholder agencies and has relentlessly guided project management units to work in line with the goals and targets defined for the projects.
